Criminal Defense

About

DEDICATED TO YOUR DEFENSE

Protecting the rights of the accused throughout the entire Commonwealth of Virginia

I am criminal defense attorney, Jon Clark, in Roanoke, Virginia. My practice is 100% committed to criminal defense. I am a two-time former prosecutor with over five years of legal experience. My entire career up until now has been solely focused on criminal law practice in Virginia. My insight and experience with the Virginia criminal justice system provides me with an incredible advantage with the cases I handle. I know what makes a case strong or weak, I know when holes or weaknesses exist and my assessment of witness credibility is exceptional. I can approximate (not guarantee) the amount of jail time you may be facing and the likely outcome of your case.

I’ve represented clients from all walks of life, including gang members, a Mexican drug cartel affiliate, even a client charged with an extremely violent felony charge while serving active jail time at Virginia’s Red Onion Supermax prison (as seen on HBO), all the way to your average Chad facing drunk in public and indecent exposure charges to your average Stacy facing simple speeding or reckless driving summons.

When you call Jon Clark Law, we will set up a convenient time for a free, no charge consultation. During your consultation, you’ll have an opportunity to discuss the facts of your case, your background and concerns going forward. Once enough information is collected then I’ll be able to give you a fair and reasonable price to represent you.

If the cost is within your budget, then you’ll complete some paperwork and I’ll officially be your attorney. If the cost is too much, we do offer payment plans, however, 25% of the cost must be paid upfront before any paperwork is signed.

Once I become your attorney, I will then go review the evidence in your case, speak with any witnesses, assess witness credibility, review your criminal record, approximate the amount of active jail time you may be facing based upon the Virginia Sentencing Guidelines, conduct legal research and ultimately deliver to you a written assessment of your case, including a discussion of possible case strategies and what the most likely outcome of your case will be.
