Jon Clark is a former prosecutor turned defense and civil-rights attorney based in Roanoke and Botetourt County, Virginia. Through Jon Clark Law, PLLC, he represents individuals and families whose reputations, freedom, or livelihoods are at stake — whether in criminal court, civil-rights litigation, or government accountability cases.

Before founding his own firm, Jon served as a prosecutor in multiple Virginia jurisdictions, trying hundreds of cases and developing a deep understanding of how law enforcement and Commonwealth’s Attorneys build — and sometimes overreach in — their cases. That firsthand insight now forms the backbone of his defense strategy: anticipating every move the opposition will make, and dismantling weak accusations before they can define a client’s life.

Jon’s career has always revolved around public service and justice. After years of standing on the prosecution side of the courtroom, he saw how quickly the system can turn on good people — veterans, parents, professionals, and young adults — whose voices were often drowned out by public pressure or political motives.
